Melia & Angus

How we love our E-Sessions… everyone brings something new to the table, we can’t get enough. We first met Melia and Angus at Grace and Phil’s Wedding last June. Melia and Angus brought their A-Game. Ever since we met them last year, we’ve been totally looking forward to spending some time with them and shooting their session. Melia is beautiful – and has the brains to boot and Angus was rockin’ it – from serious to hysterical he’s got it! These two are jokers and also the most down to earth people! When I got into my mood of doing different accents (sounds nerdy but I’m coming out as a random accent speaker, whatevs) Melia was totally there. Melia, I think we do ‘Valley girl’ very well. =D hahaha, good times… And they really were!!

Just observing them reminded me of how it is so important to maintain a friendship with the one you love. It was so easy for Angus to make Melia laugh and the way they interacted with each other with genuine and endearing care and attention made Ral and I remember and appreciate how valuable our relationship really is. It was almost as if they were in their own world. I thought that was cool.

Melia and Angus, always a pleasure. You model such a genuine love and friendship with each other that I’m certain, people really take notice. We love how you both are fun loving and thoughtful… partnering with Grace and Phil for their wedding day made us really love your family. And getting to know you and Angus and getting to be a part of your day has really reenforced the fact that we’re blessed. Its because of relationships with couples like you guys that really make us love what we do.

Abby & Victor

These guys are straight up FANTABULOUS!! We had so much fun on this engagement shoot (we were sure we would ’cause we’ve been looking forward to it ever since we met them). From climbing trees (THANK YOU, Victor) to running around on the beach – they really were a sight to watch… but I think the underlying highlight really was their love, affection, and adoration for each. They are SOLID. And I can’t really tell you all how much we admire both Victor and Abby. They’ve been such great cheerleaders of ours and we truly appreciate their kindness in every interaction. We had dinner with them a while back and just really getting to know them really fueled and fed us on a deeper level. Their faith is exemplary and their relationship leading up to marriage is inspiring. I am just reminded of how one’s personality does not have to be audibly loud to catch attention and make an impact. With the example of Victor and Abby, you’ll find that their lifestyle as a whole speaks volumes about their high level of integrity and their generous nature.

Vic and Abby, you both have made us feel at home with you from the very start. When we say we admire the both of you, we really, really do.  Thank you for being such an example to us.  Your wedding day will be very rich because we know that you’ve heavily invested in a strong foundation in love & faith and thus life.

Candy and Leo

How we are so very fortunate… dynamic lovebirds, gorgeous weather, and the company of another terrific photographer… what a day! Candy and Leo really are dynamic. They truly model what its like to really enjoy life with the one you love so, they made it fun and way too easy for us to shoot their session. We love how they really trusted us and let us do whatever we wanted. It really gave us freedom to express ourselves and take our work to another level. 

And speaking of ‘another level’, we were actually given rooftop access to Candy’s condo in Yaletown. We had an overwhelmingly beautiful 360 degree view of Vancouver that blew us away. Just thinking about it… WOW! So that paired with Candy and Leo made for a heck of a shoot. Candy is beautiful, inside and out. After the shoot, we went to Bridges on Granville Island for some dinner and Candy wanted to compliment our waitress and tell her she looked like Heidi Klum and even though she really did, we just knew Candy really just wanted to make her smile. She is such a sweet person and every time we get to see her and Leo, we know we’re in for a good time. =) Leo’s energy is contagious. His personality really came out during the shoot and he was sooooo fun to work with. Even though he kept quite a cool demeanor, when he laughed – everyone laughed! Good times!!!! Candy and Leo, we’re just crazy about you two. Your character and heart are a force to be reckoned with and we are so blessed to have been chosen to shoot your wedding. You’re both great individuals and as a couple, DYNAMIC –> you just have to know – it really shows. Keep it up!

Photogen inc. hits vancouver

We had the pleasure of hanging out with an awesome photographer from Minneapolis. Eliesa from Photogen inc. is just fantabulous! This girl is just rockin! not just in how she shoots, but how she rolls! We first met her at the Finao booth in Vegas and found out she was coming to Vancouver for a quick trip. We went out for lunch and hung out for a bit. Here are some shots of the day.

Busy Times…

We’ve hit our full swing and we’re super excited about everything that has gone on this year. If we’re a bit slow on blogging please know that we’re ‘working hard’ not ‘hardly working’.  =D

Keep your emails coming in for Me At 25 & 25 of You. This is an ongoing personal project until March 20, 2009 and I’m just so excited to meet with my first batch of individuals. I feel extremely fortunate and I know that has already made my year richer.
