Nya & Chris

Oh how amazing it is to photograph such beautiful people. Down to earth, great entertainers (side note: we had a fabulous dinner at their HOT loft and Nya made us a super yummy dinner, good times), funny and – GORGEOUS. We’ve really been looking forward to spending time with these two again and getting them in front of our lenses. They were naturals!

Ral and I have been talking a lot about connections between our couples and its so cool how each couple is so different but maintain the same look of safety and love. Nya is brilliant. She has a natural glow about her, she has this wonderful charisma and she is most obviously, absolutely beautiful. Chris is an understated stud, extremely humble and most definitely has a quiet confidence about him. Together, they are electric (?).

Abby & Victor | July 5th, 2008

Victor and Abby are a couple like no other. Their love for each other is so rich and just exudes from their actions and words. To this day, I still can’t give justice to explaining this connection they have – but just know that they ‘have it’. With every glance, smile, embrace, and nudge, I would hold my breath and try to capture it.

The whole day went by so fast because we were having so much fun with them. Victor was so relaxed the entire day and Abby was just glowing. We had the most extrodinary weather (just fitting for an extrodinary couple). We had overcast clouds giving a larger than life feel to the already beautiful setting, some rain that allowed us to become creative and unique with our art, and just when we thought we saw everything, the sun tore out from the clouds to come down, blazing on us – it was fantastic! Abby and Victor, life is looking pretty sweet in your shoes! You’ve got a love that we admire greatly and we’re so happy to have met you two. We’re blessed to have joined you on this part of your journey as a married couple and we know we’ll be hearing how fantastic you both are again and again. You’re both loved by many, and that includes us. =)

Melia & Angus | June 30th, 2008

Wow, what an amazing day!!! We had a hot couple to match the hot day! What was even cooler than the shade we found that day was that Melia and Angus gave us more than 2 hours of shooting time between the ceremony and reception – yep, that’s right! More than 2 hours!!! That busted all levels of awesome! 

Throughout the whole day Ral and I were able to witness two of the most sincere and playful couples we have ever shot! What I love about these two is how you can tell they love each other by a simple glance in each others eyes followed by some giggles.

We were also able to be surrounded with their family and friends which further illustrated the people that Melia and Angus are. If I could use a single word to describe those close to them it would be, community. It just goes to show that Melia and Angus brought out the best in all who were there, even though it was their day on top of the world.

Melia and Angus, you guys… every time we get together we have such a good time. Your wedding was sooo awesome and again, your family and friends were very good to us. Marriage is quite an experience for anyone but for two people very much in love, its life well spent. You both have become friends and we can’t wait for the next time we meet up!

Julie & Juan | June 27th, 2008

We kicked off this summer with a wedding fit for trendsetters. The details were modern and sharp,  the company of family and friends was outstanding and the commitment solidified on that day was blessed. What more can be said about a couple that screams awesome in every way. Highlights for us definitely included time with both Juan and Julie’s family. We love personal and intimate occasions and they had just that! The amount of love, support and unity with the two joining families really blew me away. Their like mindedness in faith and family really showed as they celebrated with Juan and Julie. 

We are always blown away when we see unique details incorporated into weddings. In their case, a unity candle was substituted by a very chicly welded model of their initials with a tiny show using a blow torch (I think), family formals were done with graffiti and an abandoned building as the main setting and the theme of “The Office” was used to welcome the happy couple to their reception… oh the reception was good times…  We are proud to have shot this very cool wedding. =)

Julie and Juan are gold. They’re a gorgeous couple with charming personalities – and what an awesome wedding day. A hot day deserves a smokin’ hot couple!
